If Issa holds a hearing to find Obama's birth certificate, for example, should the Dems honor it by participating or should they stand outside the room, point to the door, and call bullshit.

I say they should do the latter.

1. Staple a copy of the birth cert to Issa's forehead & walk out.

2. I'm for the latter; the Democrats can remind them of their campaign pledges
to cut needless spending.

4. Everytime they get the microphone in the hearing
speechify about where are the jobs? What are they doing about the deficit? And so on. Basically, refuse to participate in the charade and keep the jobs issue front and center.

Another question to bring up is - why are the Repugs in favor of tax breaks for the wealthiest 2% but have no jobs plan?

HCR - why don't the R's want to extend benefits to sick kids? cover those with preexisting conditions? etc.

7. I agree...I would treat this with the same level of respect that these hearings deserve.
Dress up in clown suits and bring loves of bread to throw around...just so the taxpayer understands that these "investigations" are nothing more than a partisan distraction - a mordern day "Bread and Circuses' because Republicans don't have any real solutions to deal with the economy.

12. That's what I think. Don't legitimize their hearings by even participating. Just mock them.

5. If they want theater then we should give them theater.
Can we start holding hearings on Clarence Thomas's obvious perjury during his confirmation hearings with the new evidence that's just come up?

I say let them investigate Obama's birth certificate as that's a complete non-issue and they really will embarrass themselves. We should the absolute maximum of their self embarrassment though.

11. I really like that idea
Use videos of them being stupid in the next campaign. Use their own words. That ad where Meg Whitman and Meathead said the same thing was *very* effective. Do that same sort of thing.

10. Isn't it time WE started the tea bag tatics
I mean the Democrats and that includes ALL of us just sit back and let the tea bags and the hate and filth on fox and the rest of the right wing sh*t spewers to discourse. It is time we started to fight back. Forget being civil and polite let them have what they are giving us. I wish I lived closed to DC still. I'd be right there following those republicans every step they take hollering where's the jobs, re-build our bridges and our roads. How about cheap fuel. I would start out just asking and if that didn't tip the scales I'd yell.

13. I wish we would.
But the fact is that without funding, even the teabaggers would have gotten no traction.
