I've got my comment ready whenever I see a rightwing news article about Keith Olbermann.
I saw a couple of CNN articles but the comment sections were closed. I was going to post the following but will have to wait for just the right time when I notice there are a lot of rightwing comments:

I'd much rather hear the expert political opinions of has-been infotainment mouthpieces that can be found on Fox News. Why would I want to hear facts about my poor choice of political figures? The truth is too ugly that I just couldn't handle it; plus, there's a slight chance that I may not vote for them if I knew how corrupt they really are & how they care only about corporate interests rather than the average person such as myself.

News figures should be suspended for contributing to Democratic candidates. Just don't touch my Fox News for doing it on a much grander scale for the Republicans. Fox News gave $1,000,000 just for Republican Governors, plus my favorite priviledged network gave that cute little tea party unlimited, free airtime (& big contributions, too!) Any Republican candidate was also given free airtime when they wanted it.

Now that I've actually thought about it, which isn't often enough, just why was Keith Olbermann suspended? I don't get it.

1. We will have to fight fire with fire. The
"mainstream media" is not impartial. They will never tout both sides. And it is up to us. We can no longer sit back and gripe about it. The media are our enemy. Always have been since impeachment of Bill Clinton. The hatred that comes from the Republicans is working for them. For the ill-informed voter that is all they hear--hatred. I don't have all the answers, but I can tell you one thing--I am scared to death. You know which way the wind is blowing when 5 members of the SCOTUS is able to legislate and give millions to one party. And one member at least is married to a political person who dials for dollars. That person should step down, but I hear absolutely no one stating that fact. MSNBC has become as bad as Fox. They may let Rachel and O'Donnell stay on for a while, but I would bet before long their days are numbered. I have tried schooling my Republican friends, but most of them have become deaf. Where do we turn?

2. We don't we let them have everything their way, and then come in and pick up the pieces.
Think about how much better off the Democratic party would be right now if McCain/Palin had won the last election.

6. I agree about fighting fire with fire!
I like the idea of faxing & calling Boner, for example, asking him where the jobs are.

And with Keith O's suspension, I was aiming to use sarcasm at various news sites to show how ridiculous right-wingers are, as well as highlighting the inequity shown by the suspension.

3. Considering the right's inability to recognize satire...
I mean I had a friend who hated Jon Stewart, but loved Colbert, until someone told him Colbert was making fun of him. He's reasonably intelligent and owns a business, but the right wing talk machine is so extreme it's hard to differentiate between sarcasm and reality, so it's possible your comments will gain kudos from the T-Party readers.

Think about it. Have you ever seen the right use parody, sarcasm, or satire to get a point across? No. They go straight for the jugular in caustic terms that can't be misunderstood.

It may be even more amusing however, if you gain temporary allegance from the kooks for speaking what they call "the truth about the lamestream media". Hahahaha

5. I was thinking the same thing. When I do use it, I'll put at the end (sarcasm).
I was aiming at getting their attention with the pro-Fox angle. As for those who may be smart enough to get the sarcasm, let them get a look in the mirror.

4. My comment is simple. The mainstream media..........
i.e., corporate media, i.e., capitalist media are going to try and silence any PASSIONATE and POPULAR voice on the left. That was Keith Olbermann. Next step is any PASSIONATE left wing voice. Bye-bye, Ed Shultz. Then they'll go after the one's that are left, Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O'Donnell.

They've got to silence the passion first because passion moves people moreso than even facts. And of course they HAVE to get rid of the most popular one. But eventually, the capitalists will get them all.

7. That this happened on a Friday, with two off-days between regular broadcasting,
they're probably hoping this loses steam. My husband & I have been watching him every night during supper for the past 9 or so years, so it was weird not having MSNBC on that evening. I hope Keith's loyal viewers do everything they can to keep the pressure on.

Reading the story about Comcast & about Phil Griffin's praise & admiration for Roger Ailes & Fox News does scare me, too, about MSNBC's direction. Progressives may be left with no voices on tv.
