If they want Keith to apologize, he should give them a Babylon 5 apology...
Edited on Sun Nov-07-10 03:00 PM by Rosco T.
In a diplomatic crisis, Sheridan blew up some Centuari ships that were attacking the station, the home government ordered him to apologize...

I apologize.
I'm...sorry.
I'm sorry we had to defend ourselves against an unwarranted attack.
I'm sorry that your crew was stupid enough to fire on a station filled with a quarter million civilians, including your own people.
And I'm sorry I waited as long as I did before I blew them all straight to hell!

...As with everything else, it's the thought that counts.

1. Or a very lawyerly non-apology apology
With phrases like "I regret if anyone took offense" and "that was not the intention"

3. Naaa... Keith is too much of a geek ....
.. I mean he manages to work in Three Stooges, Simpsons, other SciFi references, I mean for Ghods sake, he interviewed the trio behind the original MST3K on SET! He could just air that clip from B5 as a 'statement from his spokesman regarding the issue' and call that the apology...

How about the standard GOP scoundrel apology - "I apologize if anyone was offended."

2. Why apologize? Unless he did it on purpose don't apologize
and ONLY apologize if you are truly sorry.

5. Re-read the OP.
It's not an apology.

I Keith Olbermann made the mistake of supporting Democratic candidates. If that offended than I am sorry that I spoke my mind and had the mis-belief that as a citizens of the United States of America I have the right to decide which candidate I wanted in office and which candidate I supported needed Corporate permission. Please if anyone knows which subsection of the Constitution and Bill of Rights I forgot about let me know.

8. The Babylon 5 apology is a typical Olbermann apology
when he darn well knows he did nothing wrong, so you are right on the money.

K&R! :kick:

10. There is the alternate B5 apology too
"I'm waiting. For an apology."
"You better check the temperature in Hell first."
