5. They still show them,. You can opt out of being subjected to google ads if you choose to

but there are unavoidable ads on the DU home page and greatest pages where I browse a lot. Thank Gates I can at least turn flash off, which is a PITA, but I have to turn it back on to see videos.

If not, it's time to start. Install Ad Blocker. Then click "block" at the upper right corner of the ad. <poof!> It's gone forever.
