Here's my email to Pew research:

To: info@people-press.org

Dear Pew,

I hope you will do a survey of those with an income of over $250,000 ($500,000 married) to determine how many are employers and if an increase in a marginal tax rate of 4% will determine if they hire anybody or not. Listening to the current debate between the Democrats and the Republican shows that this is the point of contention and nowhere is this information available. Your independance in the field means we are dependent on your research into this issue.

Thanks, RGBecker.

1. Good point. I have often said the rich are ignored. They need more attention.

2. People that make $250,000
are not the ones that hire at the rate we need... it is trash talk... the tax that would be reinstated is only on that amount after costs and deduction anyways... this frickin' tax talk is beyond absurd... I say ""reinstate all taxes" then the Obama Administration can turn around and give credits for hiring, energy efficiency, research, education, etc...

A higher tax on everyone would encourage behaviors that make a positive difference for the country

3. They might not want to do this...they would have to interview
20 people before they got just one making a quarter million per year and that will probably be a lawyer who doesn't need another secretary.
