Olbermann Greets and Thanks Supporters on Twitter

Recently suspended MSNBC host Keith Olbermann broke his silence and greeted his supporters today on his Twitter feed.

The "Countdown" host, who was suspended after it was revealed that he made political contributions to three Democratic candidates, took to the web to update and thank supporters while he is barred from appearing on MSNBC.

Olbermann posted the following message on Sunday afternoon:

"Greetings From Exile! A quick, overwhelmed, stunned THANK YOU for support that feels like a global hug & obviously left me tweetless XO."

This from NY Daily News:

After Friday’s news, Olbermann fell silent – but his supporters were vocal. As of Sunday night, more than 275,000 people had signed an online petition on the website saveolbermann.com to reinstate the talk show host.

One fan even created a Twitter account with the name 'Team Keith Olbermann' and numerous users tweeted MSNBC president Phil Griffin's phone number, encouraging followers to call and complain about Olbermann's suspension.

"MSNBC President Phil Griffin's office number has been changed due to constant phone calls regarding @keitholbermann," @Team Keith Olbermann tweeted proudly on Sunday.

3. Keith is losing $16,000 a day.
That's his gross income from his $4 million per year salary.

2. I was getting worried that they had been able to totally silence him.
Hang in there Keith - we will not give up. Fuck you Comcast/MSNBC.

6. Griffin still doesn't address Joey the Scab and others in the organization...
He calls Olberman a commenter, what are the others entertainers.
