Wake up America - the corporate media has dissed your President - they have anointed the party that won one chamber of Congress as the party in charge because RETHUGS defend their interests. Then we have the issue of race.

CSpin carried it on the web - only BBC had live coverage.
This is beyond unacceptable and perhaps a petition is required here. There is absolutely no way the corporate media would have ignored this speech if Bush were in office.

While I support Keith and the message people were trying to send to MSNBC, the energy put behind the Campaign for Keith was stunning. I just can't accept that we cannot do that for more issues and causes that affect everyone.

Not giving President Obama air time is part of the propaganda being spread so well by MSM; they're all involved to varying degrees since they're owned by multinational corporations.

I've suggested coming together in some way to work toward a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United or another concerted effort to combat multinational corporate control of EVERYTHING we hold dear:

We could be DOING so much more, IMHO, instead of screaming and bitching and whining about the hopelessness of it all....

All of the feelings are valid, I'm just suggesting we can take that energy and focus it with positive actions to at least try to change things. Many are tired, brutally tired, and I respect that. But if we have energy to get behind reinstating a favored media person, we have the energy to fight for our own rights and freedoms.

I wouldn't expect the broadcast networks to interrupt their programming to carry the President's address to the Indian parliament. I don't recall them broadcasting other president's addresses to a foreign legislature live? Am I wrong about that?

Also, to those comparing the huge outpouring of support for Keith Olbermann to a potential lack of support for our President... I think a few things have to be considered. One, the perception is that Keith is a fighter. Even if in the wrong, people admire and will flock to a fighter. People know that Keith has stood up to powerful interests (namely the BFEE/criminal Bush administration) on the people's behalf. The current perception of the President is that he is not fighting for the people (warrantless wiretapping, indefinite detention, DADT repeal/expiration, watered down bank reform, HCR without public option, etc.) as he led us to believe during his campaign.
