Republican control of the government is going to really destroy these safety net for americans. They are trying to get the FDA to not ask for more money to protect us from bad food or crops.

1. Since you are evidently listening, then I think you qualify as "anybody".
So, yes, anybody is listening to Thom Hartmann.

2. Good show today.
He's also talking about putting one of his books on Truthout to be read for free.

3. Their WHOLE thing is about Privatization, which = infinitely replicated overhead, until acquisition
mania sets in, which, eventually, = over-leveraged monopolies which = the status quo, OPPOSITE of what a free market would be, which said free market, they SAY, is their whole motive for privatization in the first place.

All, of course, without ANY government regulation to protect anyone.

4. Perhaps he should've considered that earlier.
You know, say over the past 2 years, when he really had nothing good to say about Democrats.

6. Are you kidding?
Thom Hartmann is one of the best, and he has had lots of good things to say about Democrats. He also calls them out when they are being complete and utter dolts. But I suppose if he had just "LEFT THE DEMOCRATS ALONE" they would have done everything right and won the election. :eyes:

This pathetic meme is getting old. Try blaming the Democrats for the position they are in, instead of the people who complained about Democrats continuing Bush policies.

5. One of the dirty little truths no-one admits...
at least no one in the media, is that Europe is coming out of the recession faster than us because they have robust safety nets in place, already budgeted. Some of the RWers are trying to dismantle them as we speak, of course, but we'll see.

8. Republicans fought tooth and nail
against medicare, the clean water act, the clean air act, the minimum wage, food labeling and just about every other provision that has helped the average American citizen.
