After all false advertising is a punishable violation of FCC regulations...
Why does PAC funded political ads get a pass on this?

2. what we need is disclosure |
|
Anyone running a polical ad of any kind should have to disclose all of its funding.
No more "this ad is paid for by the Americans for America is wonderful as apple pie coalition," which hides its funding and is really backed by one or two billionaires pretending to be a grassroots group.
We can't limit speech itself--Supreme Court said so, but we should be able to know who is paying for it.
