Would you let a gay man defend you in combat? (or woman!)

Two men are in a foxhole taking heavy fire from an advancing enemy. One soldier is wounded and is laying on the bottom of the foxhole. The other has his weapon aimed at the advancing enemy and firing as fast as he can.

The wounded soldier yells over the sounds of gunfire to the soldier protecting him and asks, "Are you gay?"

The other soldier continues to fire at the enemy, but yells back, "Yeah, I'm gay!"

The wounded soldier yells back, "I don't care, you will always be my brother-in-arms and a fellow soldier and that's all I care about!"

The gay soldier yells back, "Shut the fuck up, I'm busy trying to save your heterosexual ass!".
