They can't stand intelligent women. Women are supposed to be complete fucking morons that are controlled by money and the people feeding it to them. That's how it is supposed to be in their world. Intelligent and strong-willed women are just wrong, an abomination "EVEN unto God" to them. What a FUCKED UP way to look at things, but it is the only way I've found to explain what is going on.

1. Seriously, I had to deal with it here in Delaware with Christine O'Donnell
She's so stupid it burns and yet people still like her.

Go figure!

...it tastes like photographic chemicals. That's the problem there. My S-I-L lives there. The smell of the stuff makes me gag.

not just in women but in anyone who goes against the right. Stupidity is the engine that is driving this final push to the right.

We are a threatening bunch, and really need to be put in our place.

Ain't gonna happen.

But that's what you get when we have a patriarchy instead of an equiarchy.

That's one thing about voting for Republicans. You know which end you're gonna get. With Democrats, there's a little more doubt.

8. I think that's been pretty common knowledge...
...for a few thousand generations now.

I figure it goes back to the women who discovered that if you plant seeds in a certain spot, they will grow into food. That means that you can settle down and not be constantly moving. The men that wanted to do nothing but hunt and fuck, got really annoyed that now they had to toil in the soil, and they've been pissed at the women ever since.

Something like that...

26. What's wrong with hunting & fucking?
A whole host of problems started with that stupid agriculture idea. That's where real estate law started. That's where full-time priesthoods & hierarchical government started. Pretty soon the peasants are grubbing in the dirt their whole lives to support whole economies on their backs.

Given his incredible life, it would be hard for him NOT to b interesting - if he spent time at a bar. How many people went yachting with JFK and hung out with John Lennon? No way would the brilliant Teresa Heinz have married him if he were even close to the RW stereotype.

21. It's the same marketing that strip clubs use
Teabaggers like pretty/shiny things. They LOVE pretty/shiny things that tell them what they like to hear, and that they are always right!

"Ooh, big daddy, you're right about everything. You're SOO smart." One you put that into their "heads", they will follow you anywhere, and are at your service, ready to give up the cash.

24. I don't suppose it could be a policy thing?
Otherwise why do I love Boxer and Pelosi and hate Rice and Fiorina? Aren't the latter two also purported to be intelligent?

The reason you think it is the "only way to explain what is going on" is because it fulfills another requirement. First, the theory must be plausible, and second, it must involve conservative inferiority.

39. Right, this is cart before the horse thinking ...
end of the day, it boils down to R and D ...

That outside of exceptions like Whitman or Fiorina, you pretty much have to be a blathering idiot to buy the R con crape (unless you are a corporatist like like those) does not mean THAT is the reason the zombies love them ...

End of the day, the evil liberal is the enemy above all else, they will swoon over WHOEVER carries the flag and spews their nonsense, regardless of color, sex, intellect, looks ... NOW, they do like them some eye candy, but is Sarah Palin was a D, she would be Pelosi to them (and frankly, I think Pelosi is a fairly attractive woman on her own right) ...

Finally, I know PLENTY of rock solid dems who aren't MENSA type people, too ...

27. Much like what Pagans refer to as the Burning Times.
It wasn't actually witchcraft that got you in trouble with The Powers That Be, it was being smart and a threat to the men's feeling of superiority. Being a smart woman who owned property made it doubly risky.

Stupid people are just scared shitless of intelligence, especially in women. Wear a dress, don't cut your hair, and for God's sake, don't stand up and talk in church.

If that seems like a non sequitur you haven't been in the chat rooms I visited in my AO-hell days.

29. Different reasons
The left hated Hillary because to them, the Clintons were to blame for turning the Democratic party into a centrist party, rather than a leftward one. That is the reasons the Greens voted nader, to punish the Clintons and Gore for being part of them.

Besides, plenty of comments in the media and the LW blogs were outrageously misogynist. It was elucidating to find out that the left could be as sexist as the right.

36. Not very , especially
Since his main promise was to govern to the LEFT of Hillary, not hire Clinton era types, which he has done. The insurance Mandate, which has everyone from the Tea party to the Greens angry, was of course, Hillary's idea. The sad thing is, it is not sex that is the matter, it is that there are plenty of idiots on both sides who will take cheap shots at anything not them, knowing that they would be in hotter water if they were thrown into the tub.

I cannot speak for all who chose Obama over Hillary, but for me, the last straw was when she threatened to "obliterate" Iran. That is not a sexist thing, it's a "do we really need a war with another crazy Mid-east country" thing.

40. Yes, she said it.
But it was in response to a question of what would she do as president if Iran attacked Israel with nuclear weapons. It was not a threat of an ad hominem attack.

Even though Obama & Hillary's positions were similar on most issues, I preferred Hillary because experience does matter in life. She not only had a reputation for working well with both sides of the aisle in the Senate, but she and Bill had everything thrown at them while they were in the WH. I think that she would have been able to handle the pitfalls of the job more effectively. Obama mentioned a learning curve last week during his press conference. Well, I felt that we didn't have time to have a president who needed on the job training while the nation was going through such bad economic times.

;-)

44. Let's be frank
If Israel gets attacked, it is Israeli soil, NOT american.

Second, experience can be good, but experience can also reinforce BAD decisions. A Hillary that renounced the DLC and made a true dash to the left would have been made a heroine. As far as her being known work "well with both sides in the senate" that is exactly what we do not need anymore of, as the GOP in the Senate has no Real interest in working with US, nor, for that matter, do the Blue Dogs. Obama and Her both have a tendency to be to friendly to the other side, and in this case, part of that "earning curve" should be where Obama tells the other side to go to Hell, something Hillary would never do to her "good friend" John McCain.

There are plenty of Women I would love to see in the Oval Office, even weaker liberals like Pelosi, to say nothing of true leftist tigresses like Maxine Waters, but not Hillary.
