What the HELL is wrong with our Government?
The big fat elephant in the room that NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT is THE PENTAGON'S BUDGET. The Teabagger's won't touch it. The Republicans want it larger. And what have the Democrats done about it in the last two years?

End this MIC Government Welfare that has a stanglehold on America.

War should be on the table dammit.

1. And what the hell is wrong with our citizens that neither that budget
nor the actual, horrible, needless wars were even 2010 election issues?

No one seems to give a shit about that anymore!

6. Damn Straight
What is WRONG with Americans and might I say, forums like this, too. Where WAR is not ever discussed.

It's as if BOTH WARS we are waging don't even exist.

Well they DO and they eat up ALL YOUR TAXES.

11. I was tempted to
because of the anti-government title

Better to ask what is wrong with the assclowns currently WORKING FOR we the people and handing billions to crony capitalist assclowns, while we lose our jobs, our homes, have no healthcare and can't get a fucking break.

But that probably wouldn't fit in the OP title

4. Its going to take the kind of anti war efforts in the streets that we did in the 60's!
We've done it before. We have to make Obama realize that his support for these wars
is going to make him another LBJ. Lyndon gave us all sorts of progressive legislation but
that damn Viet Nam war turned the country against him. The same thing will happen to Obama.

7. US.
It is 'US'. Not necessarily you and me, but all those who are either uniformed or who have dropped out. The 'Goverment' is 'We The People'. If 'We The People' refuse to stay informed or participate, then it's basically a free-for-all. And THAT is how we end up enslaved. Yet again.

Figure it out? NO ONE can reduce the budget? Wow, the President has no power? The Dems have no power?

So you're saying our elected officials can't reduce the pentagon's budget?

THEN WHO THE FUCK CAN?

15. I've posted this before...
Our local library levy got voted down... would have cost our house $22 per year. People in the local paper whined about high taxes.

Americans now pay the lowest level of taxes since 1950.

The Afghanistan war is costing every man, woman, and child in our country at least $325 this year... and that's not counting the dead Americans... and Afghanis.

And not a peep out of anybody, it seems.
- - - - - -
Lemme see... The total military budget - including veterans and black ops and miscellaneous bullshit - is about a $1 Trillion hit. 308 million Americans...$3,247 this year for every man, woman, and child in America. Every year.

And NOBODY SEEMS TO GIVE A SHIT!

(I'm probably just advertising my ignorance, but I just found out that Google does huge calculations right from the search page. I typed.... 100,000 times 1 million. Small thing, I know, but that way I don't miss a zero or decimal point and look stupider than I are.)

28. bah, just add the exponents
500,000 times 3,000,000 is just 5 times tne to the fifth times 3 times ten to the 6th. 3 times 5 is 15 and 10^5 times 10^6 is just 10^11. Thus, the answer is 1.5 trillion.

29. A panel in July already did all the work
Look at this article; two retired Dems and two retired GOP along with a moderator and an economist/accountant have already done the work. Balance budget, reasonable cuts and keep whats important. However, it involves some sacrifices, higher gas costs, etc. So will go nowhere. (cut and paste)
