Women hits man, man won't hit a woman so beats to death the next random man who walks by
Brawlers beat random stranger to death in Georgia

By GREG BLUESTEIN Associated Press

It began with a brawl outside a house party. A woman hit a man, and the man refused to strike back, saying he wouldn't hit a girl. Instead, he vowed to attack the next male who walked by, even if that person was a random stranger.

That's when 18-year-old Bobby Tillman happened to approach a group of four partygoers. Authorities said they swiftly stomped, kicked and punched him to death while dozens of bystanders watched.

"He had nothing to do with anything," said Maj. Tommy Wheeler of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. "They just decided he's the one. And they killed him."

-----------------------------------------------

That's when a fight broke out between two females and two males, and one of the females hit a male, Wheeler said.

Then, in a case of twisted chivalry, the man decided he would not retaliate _ but vowed to beat up the next man who passed by, investigators said.

29. The Obama Administration has.
Many countries in the past 50 years have done outside of the rule of law killings under the influence of the USA. We own it, pacifist or hawk.

14. And that makes us better than them how?
Oh, I see, because we premeditatively choose who we're going to kill instead of just picking on someone at random?

I don't fucking think so.

25. Who cares?
We know they're guilty, we know they're sociopaths, and to me, there's no reason our taxes should go to jailing these thugs for decades. If you're anti-DP, that's fine and I don't think that makes you any less sympathetic to the victim (contrary to what some pro-DP people say here), but personally, I wouldn't mind seeing these wastes of space leave this planet ASAP.

27. The problem is
having it on books could lead to an innocent person getting killed. Plus there is racial disparities in how they are handed down, poor can't afford an adequate defense sometimes, etc. Also in some states you get tough on crime Republican prosecutors that ask for this even if the evidence is questionable.

We have a DP but we don't even do it right. That bothers me a lot more than having a DP.

28. I agree there are problems with it.
But these thugs are guilty, so I don't see a problem in this case.

8. "Watched it like a sport."

The four suspects were identified as Quantez Devonta Mallory, 18; Horace Damon Coleman, 19; Emanuel Benjamin Boykins, 18; and Tracen Lamar Franklin, 19. All were charged with murder Monday.

"It was terrible, and so many people watched it like it was a sport. I keep seeing it over and over," she said. "The saddest part to me is that no one helped. I wish I could have gotten home earlier and that my lights would have scared them."

Douglas County District Attorney David McDade said he will ask a grand jury to indict the men within two weeks. He did not say whether he would pursue the death penalty.

17. They are always so brave when they have a gang behind them.
This is what I would do, since we no longer observe the rule of law anyhow.

Challenge these cowards to a fight, one on one and let's see how courageous they are. If that was my brother or friend, I would want a chance to take them on one at a time to let the world see what a bully looks like when he doesn't have a gang to back him up.

As for the mob that stood by and watched, don't we have a Good Samaritan law where you are obligated to do something in a situation like this?

We are lost, truly lost. If this were an isolated incident that would be one thing, but it isn't.

LAND OF THE BRAVE!

Seriously un called for. Some parts of chivalry should be kept alive... opening doors - yes. Flowers, yes. Even putting your coat in a mud puddle!!! Yes! But beating a random person to death because you won't hit a girl. Senseless violence.

18. What would be the best method to effectively punish someone like this?
Considering the age of those involved I'm inclined to go with requiring the parents to be part of the punishment. And letting others know that all parents will have to part of it. Something along the line of requiring the parents to visit them in prison during the week which would necessitate taking off from work. Maybe there is a better way.

24. That's about one of the dumbest ideas I've ever heard. Seriously, WTF!?!?!
They were all 18 and 19, no longer in their parents control.. supposed "adults". Why in the fuck would you even suggest something as stupid as this? Should we punish *your* parents for *you* coming up with such a stupid idea?

:wtf:

26. They raised them and those parents were still wanting to see those kids.
A message needs to go out to parents to do a better job of parenting. Sure there are some situations where proper parenting won't do a damn bit of good. But that should be something to consider when sentencing.
