Decision Dots

The book writer war criminal guy George W Bush may never heard of Sigmund Freud, but the decider dude's choice of title for his pretzeldental memoirs sure sounds like the little turd from Crawford's got a major league subconscious thing going about failing to connect a few vitally important dots.

3. Thank you! Can't wait to see those...
I don't do the Facebook from here, but I've got a secure undisclosed room above my sister-in-law's neighbor's garage.

Here's more on what Smirko McCokespoon means to our country:

One more important point: A most hearty welcome to DU, worriedshrimp. Thank you for giving a damn.

2. Should be the first question in any interviews-- What did you think when you read that Aug 2001 PDB?
If he held any public book launch events, I'd like to see people come to them wearing T-shirts emblazoned with that PDB headline and date.

4. That is now my hope.
The guy hasn't even been ASKED, "Why didn't you warn the public?"

He certainly had the warnings and opportunity, yet he did NOTHING.

Remember Zaccarias Moussaoui?

I know you remember, Overseas. Thanks also for giving a damn.

5. There should be a series of questions about that at every interview with him.
Hard to watch the interview clips I've seen so far.

6. The guy should be in prison awaiting trial.
Instead, he's free as a bird to rehab his image and make a buck off his varied lies and treasons.

Speaking of which... Some good news: Joe Wilson and Valerie Plame movie scores a direct hit with the truth.

7. Very glad "Fair Game" is showing. Great article on it.
Love the WaPo movie review debunking the WaPo editorials. Posted in the Style section.

The Democrats' taking impeachment off the table was a really low point and yet I still retained my naivete, thinking that a "pragmatic" candidate would see real value in pursuing the war crimes as a way to set the country on a new footing, thinking deeply about how far off course the reckless militarism had pushed us. Ready to seriously review the war profiteering that military privatization had intensified.

I really thought a practical Democratic president would use the Bush economic and moral crashes to crush the GOP once and for all and roll in like thunder with 21st Century FDR rebalancing of our systems.

And yet I remember a lot of the history you link us to that demonstrates the depth of our depravity and the power of the multinationals.

And I did hear creepy statements in favor of bipartisanship from the otherwise sensible candidate. But I thought that would mean his explaining the ways FDR ideas make economic sense and how a leaner military budget would strengthen our national security and the compassionate logic of Medicare for All during such turbulent economic times. Those were the most practical pragmatic solutions.

I just thought a new Nuremberg or Truth & Reconciliation sessions would be our final chance to shake up the country and get us to rebuild our democracy together. I even thought about Obama going to Copenhagen with a country ready for significant carbon reductions after studying and accepting how far off course we had gone. The bright spot after the devastating crashes was going to be the rebuilding of our infrastructure and green engineering and finally Medicare for All because surely Democrats would fight for people who had been evicted and bankrupted to at least get some national health security at long last.

So I am glad you are here. People forget a lot. And even those of us who know better grasp at straws.
