"The people have spoken", and I intend to extend to them the respect
that they extended to the "people who spoke" in 2006 and 2008.

When are the new Repuke majority members hosting "townhall meetings"???

If progressives don't show up by the hundreds and chase these "#$%@ers" through the streets, we deserve what we get.

1. There is no further need for those phony theatrics - they served their purpose. Now the
idiots can go back to their bars and gun shows until they are needed again in two years.

As for Dems taking this tact - never gonna happen because they do not play rough. And the rethug pols will not expose themselves even if there was some level of protest.

3. I'll be there holding my sign high
Surprisingly, Memphis turned out to be a spot of blue in a state of red after the 2010 election. We are lucky to have Steve Cohen..

I went to his town hall when he was promoting health care reform. I could not BELIEVE the rage and hatred there. I was holding a pro-healthcare/pro-President Obama sign and they tried to stop people from seeing my sign by putting theirs all around me! I made sure I just held mine higher.

Funny thing, when we were walking in I looked at the cars in the parking lot and commented to the woman I went with "boy there sure are a lot of out of state cars here - are we sure we are at the right place???" I'm not kidding when I say that almost every other car was from out of state.

I didn't understand the significance then - I do now.

5. You know, I would not normally advocate a campaign of
"fear and intimidation", but the results of the 2010 election show that it works.

That is a sad state of affairs, BUT...NOT as sad as if we simply roll over and play dead.

Democrats in the House and Senate ought to introduce legislation to make "tar and feathers" tax-deductable.

Seriously, the ink wasn't dry on President Obama's Oath of Office before they started assembling the "angry mobs".

We should get an early start.

4. The Canaries are stirring: Chirp Chirp Chirp. History tells
us a country is most vulnerable to dictatorial ideologies
when its people are most vulnuerable. Chirp Chirp.
