Just about everyday Dylan Ratigan allows someone to come on his show and give a rant or make some type of commentary. Yesterday, Ratigan allowed Keli Goff to make a commentary stated Joe Biden should be removed from the Democratic ticket in 2012 in favor of a woman. Goff's reason for this was that the GOP would mostly likely if not surely have a woman on their 2012 ticket. In addition, this time unlike in 2008 the woman on the ticket would be pretty and experienced. Goff then listed a number of Republican women who she felt might make the ticket. I created this post to get the opinions of members of DU concerning the idea of a female Republican being on he 2012 Republican ticket. I also wanted to state my opinion on the issue. So, do members DU think there is any real chance that a female will be part of the Republican ticket in 2012?
I think the idea of the mama grizzly is mainly a media made phenomenon. Election results and polls seem to say something different than the media is saying about the mama grizzlys. The media seems to be failing to mention that the majority of the female Republican candidates that ran for office this year lost their elections. The media also seems to be failing to mention that the majority of tea party members who ran for election this year lost their elections. Finally, the media is failing to point out that at every Republican events where polls have been taken neither Sarah Palin nor any other female Republican has been ranked highly as someone the party wants to support as a presidential candidates.
