I Just Got great medical news!
I have just returned from seeing a specialist for something that I was sure was going to be cancer, although my family doctor had told me she didn't think it would be.
My doctor made the appointment for me to see the specialist a couple of weeks ago. I'm the worrying kind so have been going crazy imagining all kinds of things.
The specialist told me I'm fine and I feel like a huge load has been lifted off me.
Thank God for our Canadian Universal healthcare system!!!!
Every time I see that lying Shona Holmes on CNN telling her lies about her supposed brain cancer, I get furious!
This ad, where Shona says she would have died in Canada with a brain cancer because the government wouldn't allow her timely treatment is a bald-faced lie. In the first place she didn't have a brain tumor! What she had (and the reason why she was given a few months to wait in Canada) was a condition called Rathke's Cleft Cyst, on her pituitary gland. "Rathke's Cleft Cysts are not true tumors or neoplasms; instead they are benign cysts." The medical community in Ontario, where she lives, knew this and scheduled other, urgent cases ahead of her for surgery....which is quite reasonable.
I have heard that she is working with some group that's trying to get private health care in Canada.
I wonder how many Americans have seen this ad which was played across the U.S.A. and believed her?

Keep trying for your own Universal health care America!!! You deserve it!

It is appalling that CNN and the other networks continue to show that ad with Holmes even after they know it is nothing but an egregious lie.

She IS working for an organization who's goal is to privatize Canada's healthcare, the Insurance Companies in the US are doing their best to help this organization fulfill it's filthy goal and Canadians need to be ever more vigilant.

6. Indeed. I've spoken to several Canadians who've come here to AZ for the winter

and have had to go to the ER--they are absolutely appalled at what we US citizens have to go through to get medical care. They love their system--and when I say many, I've talked to about a hundred. Not a one wanted to change your system.
