local letter on "Election Coverage"... oy.
http://www.thedailylight.com/articles/2010/11/09/opinion/doc4cd982bdda10e683694359.txt

No, Paul Begala ... to quote your statement from ‘The Daily Beast’ on “Election Night Fallout” – Yahoo! News on Wednesday morning, Nov. 3, you stated:

“It’s the Jobs, Stupid.” That’s the lesson I take from this election. For all the bloviating that Americans hated Speaker Pelosi, or opposed Obamacare, or wanted to shrink the federal government, this election was about the jobs. If the unemployment rate had been 4 percent instead of 9.6 percent, Obamacare would be beloved. If we were creating jobs by the hundreds of thousands there would be no Tea Party. If the economy were humming like it was under President Clinton, no one would be wringing their hands about President Obama’s inability to emote.

The jobs, yes are a major issue, but, NO ... it’s not just the jobs, Mr. Begala. Being a democratic political consultant, you obviously are not seeing the left side’s Democratic President the way hundreds of thousands of “true born and raised in America” Americans see Barack Obama and the devastation he is crating for our country.

The list goes on and on about Mr. Obama’s inability to emote, as well as his “hidden agenda” and more over, taking “In God We Trust” from what was and always has been the foundation of America. To know this man chose not to let Christians pray at the White House on National Day of Prayer this year ... then to see pictures of him on his knees praying with hundreds of other Muslim on the White House grounds is a very, very disturbing scene. Muslims, Mr. Begala! So why in America is this happening? this is by far the #1 reason the Democratic Party had a fallout last night. And for that reason alone, my friend, Americans should want this man out of our White House. Who is he, really? Have we found that answer yet? Is he rally a “true born and raised in America?” “American” looking out for the welfare of the people as our constitution plainly states is the roll of the President of our country?

Could it be, Mr. Begala, the true American people are just down right disgusted with the direction this man is leading our country in? Jobs will be the least of our problems if a socialist government is allowed to slowly filter in, which could be happening right now under our very noses. With the years of planning and scheming it took to pull of 9/11; is it not possible that Mr. Barack Hussein Obama was raised and trained for this very position? His name alone should throw red flags up. How an individual with just the name Barack Hussein Obama was ever elected President of the United States is still beyond me ... remember the name Sadom Hussein, executed for the torment and hell he forced on “his” people? What’s wrong with this picture, Mr. Begala?

Although I can only speak for myself, an I do not claim to be politically literate; I am a “true born and raised in America” American woman who, like millions of others have to get up and go to work every day to provide for my family; who worries about her children and grandchildren’s future, and who loves this country and the freedoms we so frivolously have taken of granted over the years ... and like many others today are saying, I’m not a Democrat or a Republican ... I am an American.

Don’t think that your statement ... “It’s the Jobs, Stupid,” will pacify Americans who want to see “In God We Trust” back where it should be.

S.K. Thompson,

Waxahachie

1. So the election was about God. Hmm. Is there even a picture of Pres. Obama on his knees praying
at the WH grounds?

2. This has already been debunked by Snopes...
Note that the claim about Muslim prayers at the WH was based on a false allegation accompanied by a photo that actually showed the President removing his shoes to enter the Blue Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey.

7. Yes, he's "rally" an American & his "roll" is to follow the Constitution.
Reminds me of the Gossip game, which proves how distorted the facts become after they've been repeated & skewed over & over -- but these are serious misconceptions fed to her by Fixed News.

If nothing can be done about truth in broadcasting, Obama would be wise to communicate more frequently, perhaps more townhall meetings, & for goodness sake, please assemble a group of press analysts who read what average people are saying, or claiming, & nip the distortions before it gets out of hand.
