18. If we had a law saying smokers can not be within a certain distance of children

then I guess we can have laws saying "no one can drink any alcohol beverages within certain distance of a child" since that could be harmful to children (I have seen more families and lives destroyed from alcohol use than anything else) Or since fatty foods and sweets and sodas aren't good for kids maybe these things don't need to be within a certain distance of children. And any person that has any kind of odor to them (rather a good odor or bad odor) maybe there should be a law saying children can not be within a certain distance of these people ,after all some kids have allergies and strong odors (good or bad) can aggravate their allergies. Or maybe we can have a law saying that children can not be within a certain distance of odor and smog in the air, caused by big factories after all this is also harmful to children. Oh and don't forget guns, maybe there should be laws saying that guns can not be within a certain distance of children after all, if a child got a hold of a gun they could be hurt or killed. And maybe children don't need to be within a certain distance of someone cussing or saying bad things after all this also could be harmful to children's mental health. I could go on and on and on and on. This is suppose to be a free country, where we are suppose to have freedom of choice. But we have people badmouthing others that do things they don't do. Maybe the smoker doesn't do things that the bad mouther does but the smoker doesn't set around making the other person into a piece of crap because they do something the smoker doesn't do. This controlling crap needs to stop! You might not like to be around smokers but you might do things the smoker doesn't do and YOU MIGHT BE THE NEXT ONE TREATED LIKE CRAP!

This is just plain silly. Common sense should rule. Smokers should try to stay away from children and the children should stop trying to bum cigarettes.

allowed to be housed in any "non-family" building where, perhaps, none of the other residents want to listen to them screaming and shrieking and carrying on? I propose that separate housing areas, five miles or so distance from normal housing should be enough to dampen the noise (and odors), be required of anyone living with a child. I think children should be kept in quarantine until they're old enough (ten) to reliably behave in public and I'd prefer to see solid public transportation implemented than adults being forced to resign their liberty to tyranny of idiots.
