Buried in this piece about an anonymous Fox News staffer SHOCKED! at his/her network's conservative activism is this nugget:

Asked about the potential candidates who frequently appear on Fox, the staffer responded: "Our bookers are begging Democrats to come on, we bend over backwards to get them and they won't go on. It is ridiculous and unfortunate. I don't think it is a valid reason not to go on, but they feel that way and it hurts our credibility if we can never get Democrats to go on."

It wasn't long ago that Democrats validated Fox News by appearing in its slanted and biased programming. Over time, it looks like our side has wisened up. While there are dozens of valid reasons for Democrats to skip Fox News, at the top of the list is this staffer's lament: it further damages their credibility.

Fox News has no credibility. There's no reason to help them out with that problem.

This is a really good point to make, that they want to build their credibility on the backs of the Democrats.
Plus, they want to rerun the tape again the next night knocking the points the Democrat made while he or she was on the air.
