7. my review:
first of all, i'm sure you didn't write this yourself.
you certainly don't have the ability to string sentences together well enough for a book. secondly, we tend to be a bit generous about ourselves. and to try to rewrite history in a more flattering light than reality actually is. some may think history will be kind..... i am sure that will not be the case with you.... even with your interpretation. your book is a pile of garbage and lies. even if your childhood wasn't the greatest, it doesn't excuse your war crimes. and the fact that you don't even feel bad about those war crimes or all the deaths you have caused just makes you even worse than you already were.

10. getting some nice responses regarding my review.
saying i didn't even read the book and i shouldn't review something i haven't read. where in there did he say he had a bad childood? he may not have come out and said he had a bad childhood, but if he is talking about a fetus in a jar? hello!! i didn't read the book frankly. but they didn't know that. and i sure as hell wouldn't pay $19 for anything he wrote. or someone else wrote for him.

8. Derision Points could be more like it.
I wonder how much they got paid for these gushing reviews?
Or if they even read the book yet.

11. I'm still waiting for General JC Christian, Patriot for his insightful review
I believe his review on Palin's book, Going Rogue: An American Life went virile (6,525 of 8,580 people found his review helpful), then was mysteriously scrubbed by Amazon, reposted by them, then pushed into the black hole, never to be seen again . Comedy gold.

Check out his five-star review of John Yoo's book, Crisis and Command: A History of Executive Power from George Washington to George W. Bush to get an idea of his style:

12. LOL! His reviews are a riot!
Heres another:

This review is from: The Tea Party Movement: Why It Started, What It's About, and How You Can Get Involved (Paperback)

On April 15, 2009, many Americans got their first glimpse of the Tea Party Movement and were very confused. To most, it appeared to be little more than a big dark exhaust cloud of unfocused anger or some strange tribal dance where portly middle-aged men wearing way-too-tight Harley leathers performed rites to exorcise a legion of demons who were tromping across their collective lawns.

That was not the intention of the Movement's creators. They envisioned a well-organized, lobbyist-directed movement that could mobilize nervous middle and working class people to defend the aristocracy's god-given right to rule.

This book is a part of an effort to bring the Movement's focus back to what its creators intended it to be. The author does it by packaging the aristocracy's demands as history and calling it patriotism.

13. The real comedy in the General's review of Palin's book was buried in the comments
Edited on Tue Nov-09-10 08:28 PM by Brother Buzz
The comments to his 'Five-star" review of Palin's book was fifty pages in the first incarnation, then ultimately ran some seventy odd pages before it was finally scrubbed. It was a comedy tag-team slug-fest; keen minds were destroying the teabaggers without breaking a sweat.

4.0 out of 5 stars

If Horatio Alger Had a Trust Fund, November 9, 2010

The presidential memoir serves an important function in our society. It provides a former president with an opportunity to shape how we will be viewed by history.

They aren't easy books to write. Facts create roadblocks that the ex-president must overcome. Most attempt to do so by twisting and tearing at the facts until an acceptable truth emerges. My president, Our Glorious Leader George W. Bush, boldly took another approach. He tortured the facts until they confessed to their treachery. Then, He summarily executed them with a Hellfire-C missile launched from a Predator drone.

And the results are breathtaking. I stood up and cheered when I read His claim that waterboarding isn't torture because He paid His lawyers to say it isn't. That's chutzpah, my friends. It's a zen kind of chutzpah, one that is only achieved when self delusion and a supreme lack of self-awareness come into perfect balance.

I was also very moved by His recounting of His childhood encounter with the Bush family fetus jar. It was very vividly written. I can almost see Barbara Bush standing there in her blue gown, arms outstretched as she presents the fetus jar to young W. "Hold him, W," she screeches, her pearls rattling angrily, "kiss your little dead fetus brother; kiss him now, you little mistake!"

Now that's parenthood. It's no wonder He became what He is today.

It does not matter if the story is true or not. No one cares that it's more likely that Barbara caught young George drinking from the family fetus jar. The story works either way, because it's about respect for life or the alcohol that preserves the traces of it. And that's the key to understanding President Bush. He respects life so much, He eagerly takes it from those he deems undeserving.

But this book isn't perfect. Glorious Leader Bush's experiments with firecrackers and frogs--experiments that shaped His thoughts on justice--goes unreported. Same goes for his triumph over alcoholism and his later studies on the beneficial health effects derived by drinking huge quantities of Vicks NyQuil Multi-Symptom Cold/Flu Relief- Original Flavor. None of that appears in this memoir. That's why I can't give "Decision Points" five stars.
