6. Well...
You have to realize that the right has conned the voters for years. They catered to the "christian right" for year, making promise after promise and never following through once they took office. A lot of the teabaggers are from that same group, and like always they just never learn! As long as people are gullible, as long as the right can convince them they will "change" and help them once elected, it will simply keep going on and on. The names of the group make change, but the people are pretty much the same gullible people who vote on "one" issue and the right knows how to use those one issue voters to their advantage.

This time though they have a whole lot of "crazy" people in this group, the tea party crowd, and some of them may cause a whole lot of problems for the right. The republican party is in for a not so civil war, and it will be interesting to watch it as it goes down!

5. History rhymes. Back in 94, Gingrich ran on a platform calling for term limits.
Once elected, Dick Armee, Gingrich's right-hand man, was asked when they would try to pass term limits, and Armee said he didn't think the people wanted them anymore, since the Republicans had won. They just wanted them to get the Democrats out.

Same group, just different names.

7. There is a chunk of the American population who will never be happy
and the tea baggers make up a big portion of that population. Even if they got everything they wanted, they still wouldnt be happy.

16. They don't want that shit, they want to win. Those that do want it won't like it
when they, themselves, personally get hit with it because it all sucks ass.

14. Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, Savage, et. al
wouldn't be able to keep their ratings up if they started sounding cheery about how well things are going for them and and their preferred leaders. No matter how much power the conservatives have, they still keep making sure that their listeners believe that the treacherous Democrats are always hiding just around the corner ready to steal their preciousss from them and turn this country into a European-like "wefare state! ZOMG!!!!

:wow:

13. Did you honestly believe
that they'd be all about sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows (and puppies) now that the Republican Tea Party "won" over a majority of the 40% of the voting public last Tuesday? Hell no! They're in it for their pound of flesh and they are going to be mighty disappointed once they (really) realize that now that they elected a bunch of new politicians to office and put them in a position of power in the House those politicians are now going to have to GOVERN, which will mean that eventually- in order to keep the federal government going- they're going to have to make a whole bunch of "compromises", which will be anathema to them, of course. Winning the House last Tuesday will probably wind up being one of the worst things that happen to the Republican Party.

 anybody?

17. Nor do I
They're going to wind up being the real losers and they'll probably take the Republican Party down with them. Or at least, we can only hope.

The big thing for the rest of us to worry about now is how much damage that they will do to the country on the way down.

and rainbows if their rainbow is larger than their neighbor's. :)

They economy is still in the dumps so they are still angry.
Until things change they will remain angry at everyone.
