SACRAMENTO, CA - The former chief executive of the Sacramento area's largest independent real estate firm was arrested early Wednesday morning for secretly recording guests in his homes, a family spokesman confirmed.
Lyon, 54, was arrested at his home in Carmichael and was in the process of being booked at the Sacramento County Jail, the spokesman said. The spokesman added that none of the charges relate to activities involving minors.
The spokesman said investigators were planning to search Lyon's Carmichael home, as well as the home he shared with his ex-wife Kimarie in Sacramento where some of the recordings were allegedly made. They also planned to search a vacation home in Homewood, on the shore of Lake Tahoe.
Lyon resigned in September from the firm founded by his father because of the negative publicity surrounding the criminal investigation.
