Anyone Else Think The Democratic Coalition May Be Falling Apart ???
Old adage:

"Democrats fall in love, Republicans fall in line."

We've ALWAYS been a coalition of disparate groups, unified by striving for fairness/justice, and a better future for all.

Since the election last week, we see a spit with the GLBT part of the coalition after the apparent surrender on DODT, now we have folks actually putting their toes to the formerly "third rail of politics" (Social Security)... which is my last straw.

Also this week... Bush puts his war crimes right in our face...

And I start referring to the Democratic Party as "they" instead of "we".

Can we pull it back together before it is too late???

4. I am not sure if we can
I hope so but depends on those who do not want repukes in office. The voters to keep the r's out did not vote so I am lost on what to do.

What read here it still is the blame game - when we stop the blame game may be there is hope.

8. A majority of Democrats no longer believe in the redistribution of
wealth. Without that we don't have much. A majority of Americans have been suckered into believing that they can walk into Las Vegas and win.

9. After two years of MSM bullshit I expected us to not do very good this last election
It wasn't a referendum on the Democratic party or not in my eyes anyway. We'll be fine because the pukes will have the stage and what they will be trying to pass with not set too well with the masses so 2012 will be a good year for us. So I say quit the bullshit of trying to further divide and work on our, Americans, problems.

10. Precisely what the cons want.
So it can't be allowed to happen.

And if there's going to be any "revolutionary" change, it's going to be to fascism.

...

It's real simple: We have the allies we have. We will win or lose with them; without them we will lose it all.

11. Drop back and form up.
Well - as much as a gaggle of democrats can form up - we will be a coalition.

Hopefully sooner than later.
