Oh, my Obama rumor will be that it wasn't Obama himself who went to Indonesia this week, but his CIA-trained body double Lester Carruthers, a professionally trained Shakespearean actor from Florida who's actually had extensive plastic surgery and an artificial voicebox implant in order to fool the public. The real Obama disappeared in India in order to carry on top secret negotiations with an alien race that the Chinese are hiding in the Himalayas.

Refinements to this rumor will be accepted, but let's try and avoid the trite shit about Kenyan birth certificates and the trilateral commission. I'd rather mock than mimic the wingnuts. Any suggestions how I go about planting this on the Intertubes?

Make a fake Facebook persona. Start out by friending a bunch of right-wing politicians (politicians always accept friends). Eventually you'll start to show up as a mutual friend to lots of repub basement dwellers. Accept all the friend requests. Also, invite anyone who pops up as "someone you might know". When you have a large network of friends, start talking up your story.

Email Snopes and as them if there's anything to the story. They'll debunk it, but that will just get it more exposure and right-wingers think Snopes is liberal so they won't believe the debunking.

If you can, also build up the Lester Carruthers character on line as a Shakespearean actor. Maybe give him a Wikipedia entry and a Facebook page.

how about Obama is in secret negotiations with the Chinese to not interfere with them taking over Taiwan, in exchange for them forgiving all, or part of our debt. That would sound more likely to the right wing, selling out an ally, helping commies, and back room deals.
