Meghan McCain: Julian Assange is "un-American" "villain"
Meghan McCain has fired shots recently at the likes of Bristol Palin (because she didn't vote in the midterm elections), Christine O'Donnell (because she's "out of her frickin' mind") and President Barack Obama (because it's "not so presidential" to do an interview with Ryan Seacrest).

And now the senator's daughter is gunning for Julian Assange, the controversial founder and editor-in-chief of WikiLeaks.

During an event at Manhattan's Time-Life building Wednesday night, the 26-year-old Daily Beast columnist and daughter of former presidential candidate John McCain blasted Assange for publishing hundreds of thousands of classified documents pertaining to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

"I disagree with what he did. I think it's un-American," said McCain, who is a conservative, acknowledging that Assange is not an American. (She went on, however, to characterize Assange inaccurately as a "creepy rogue Swedish guy"-- Assange is from Australia but had applied for and was denied residency in Sweden, where he was accused of sexually assaulting two women.) "He looks like a James Bond villain. He harbors a lot of ill will toward America. To me he's a villain." <...> http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_upshot/20101111/pl_yblog_upshot/meghan-mccain-blasts-villain-wikileaks-founder-julian-assange">Yahoo

His great sin, according to Miss McCain, is that he "changed the way Americans view the war." Cuz to Meghan, that's a bad thing.

1. 'characterize Assange inaccurately as a "creepy rogue Swedish guy"'

Silence is golden, especially when you're really dumb, Miss McCain.

4. Once again, let's review this "rocket scientist's" election predictions!
"—Sharron Angle beating Harry Reid, followed by an uncomfortable and possibly bitter concession speech from Harry Reid. This race showcases the complicated Tea Party vs. more moderate Republican relationship, which will be further explored in exactly how Sharron Angle will govern as a senator.

Charlie Crist, an independent beating Marco Rubio, throwing a wrench in the Tea Party and extreme right winners of the night. I think what will be more interesting than his likely win is how exactly the Republican purists and the rest of Washington will treat him. It is a lonely place for independents in Washington and groupthink rules the roost, sentiment seems to be particularly harsh against former Republicans. Just ask Jesse Ventura or Joe Lieberman.

—I am one of the few of the mind-set that Christine O’Donnell could actually pull this thing off. Followed by last week’s sexist “one night stand” story and the overwhelming media fascination (or horror depending on which way you look at it), I think people could come out in surprising numbers and actually elect this woman. A perverse side of me would like to see how she actually plays out as senator

—In the tight and hugely expensive California race, I predict a win for the former CEO of eBay. I actually see Meg Whitman as one of the next great Republican leaders. Her wealth and small campaign gaffes have strayed from the focus of this woman’s success, but I see her winning tomorrow and then becoming a strong and effective national leader."

7. As I expected, she's an example of what we can expect.
Once they run out of high-profile, easy to hate minorities, they'll begin to turn inward on their own - "people who aren't like us". How many different groups did the Nazi's have to vilify during their progression to keep the hate going to facilitate their hold on power?

However, Ms. McCain is too far ahead of the curve. The Republics haven't solved their "Jewish Problem" just yet. The Outrage Overload over Teh Gay, Welfare Queens, Libruls, et al has failed them, and she's moving ahead (and into dangerous waters) without having had (with the exception of ACORN) a single, decisive victory against any single hated minority.

The (R)s aren't ready for an internal Civil War, but Meghan couldn't resist firing the first shots.

9. I care less what Megan McCain, Bristol Palin, Liz Cheney or
any offspring have to say. Nor do I care what their disgraced parents say.
But these kids have generally been raised to believe they deserve attention just by being and our shit media gives them attention.
Randy Paul falls in that category also.
RFK,jr. has earned his right to be heard. Let him be an example. Come back when you have earned your chops kids.

10. How dare she call foreign nationals 'un-American'! That's just un-American!
Edited on Thu Nov-11-10 12:24 PM by Kablooie
Anyone you agree with is American.
Anyone you disagree with is un-American.
The fact that Americans disagree with each other is a fact to be ignored.

Until you disagree. Then the other side is un-American.
