Curious.
Before the election and with the health care law to take effect in the future, I asked my insurance agent about dropping my oldest son from my policy coming up before renewal and having him on his own policy (he won't be eligible to be on mine after March due to his age). The agent said it would be best to do it in the November decision stage, because he would get a discount. He also said my premium would be lower with him being off mine even though three of us would remain on it and it would be a family policy. After his meeting this week with my son and after they put in their new agent "software", he said it would be best to wait until March and he would save $8 a month. He made no mention on the family policy. I plan to call him. Do you think insurance companies are waiting to see what the rightwing will bring them and now are encouraging agents to put us off? Anyone in the industry know?
