6. She looks very comfortable among the people; can you imagine Barbara or Laura
Bush doing the same? I can't.

She pointed at food

She picked greens

She ate with the commoners

She asked a little girl to smell her finger

She pointed at more food

She carried a basket of veggies

Like for just that one moment, she let go of the stick...

9. She makes a wonderful first lady.
Remember how hard the right worked to paint her as angry and militant? I don't know how anyone could see her performing her duties as first lady and still believe the right's lies about her.

13. Jesus.
Can these people do anything without someone saying it's no good because it isn't the best possible thing they could have done?

I'm sure a lot of those soldiers appreciated the first lady humbling herself and serving them food. It would be nice to see her do the same elsewhere as you said, but it doesn't mean this has no value.

22. I'm not saying anyone has to love them, but there is a certain
group of people who run in and shit all over any nice thing they do. Was it the most important event ever? Of course not. It was just a nice way of showing a little respect to some of our soldiers.
