How my boys spent Veteran's Day

They spent hours outside today, holding up that sign and waving. Hundreds of people honked, took pictures, waved, and cheered. A local police officer stopped to tell them how proud he was of them, and then awarded them "Junior Officer" stickers. They got to wave and cheer with many soldiers and veterans who were driving by. This was all their idea--I'm so proud of them that I could just burst of it.

I told them I'd post the pictures online so that all the veterans who DON'T live in our town and didn't see their sign in person, could still see it here. The taller, dark-haired one is my son, and the cute littler guy is our nephew who lives with us.

So from my boys to you--HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!!!

11. We like it too. :)
When we rented this place, the whole downstairs was covered in dirty old carpet. The landlord was going to replace the carpeting, but when he pulled it out and saw the hardwood underneath, we begged him to sand it, stain it, and refinish it instead. :)

13. They really are amazing kids.
I'm thankful for them every day. Both of them want to grow up and join the Navy so they can be on aircraft carriers, lol. I'll pass along your message.
