She's brilliant - Rachel
She has studied up on everything Stewart has ever said, and the things she thought were questionable, she has brought up. And the big thing is, she lets him talk, talk and talk, and he is not painting a good picture of himself to me, a leftie.

Gees, he has defended Bush so much. I am really surprised.

1. He is way out of his depth speaking tonight
Fox = MSNBC is not a true statement

The magic of the middle does not cover the very real damage done by
the current republicans* to America and the world

* Dwight D Eisenhower started the interstate highway program .... newly elected republican
governors want to kill high speed rail

8. He alienated me a little...
especially when he criticizes Rachel (the teabag thing - I saw that). She was telling the truth (a fault of hers).

Leave her alone, Jon. She's way over your head...

9. I'm disappointed in Stewart
Rachel shines as usual, and I'm kind of surprised that Stewart is saying the things he is saying.

Surprised and disappointed.

10. Jon seems a little all over the place but....
I like the format. Rachel should do a weekly show like this. Do Bill Maher next!

12. Bill Maher goes on Rachel Maddow.........bwahahahahaha
That's be like a pigeon flying to a cat. Bill would start crying like he was waterboarded in about 10 seconds.

11. Stewart kind of lost me when he called Fox News 'the lupus of news'
Not on Rachel, but on his show a few months ago. Fox isn't the Lupus of news (meaning it is not an overly strong reaction to the rest of the news having a liberal bias). They just promote the concept that all non-fox media outlets are biased to keep their base viewing them and them alone. That is a powerful tactic to control info, to convince your audience that all media outlets except you are lying. Cults and religions do that too. There is a good book, and everything else is a trick from the devil. You shut down all opposing views that way.

Stewart doesn't seem to see the manipulative motive behind that behavior. He seems to think it was an accidental overreach when it is something totally different.

It also sucks for liberals like myself who want informed republicans and conservatives to debate with, because the ones I know are almost all fox watchers. And almost all are grossly misinformed about almost anything/everything because there have been dozens of times where basic research showed their opinions to have no factual basis. Having informed, sane conservatives to watch and debate with would be great. But by and large they don't exist anymore.

15. Stewart looked like a fool
People that take on Rachel surely must be unaware that she holds a D.Phil in politics from Oxford. Dr. Maddow, Ph.D in 'murican terminology.
