It's Mike Thompson from the Detroit Free Press:

I'm thinking the RW noise machine will successfully manage to label cuts in SS and Medicare as a Democrat idea.

1. If the Dems enact such cuts, they are responsible, regardless of the
brainchild.

3. No report was leaked.
The two chairs held a press conference to present their ideas because they know the full commission won't approve them. Significant difference.

5. No, we see right now. The fact is that this was not a leaked report.
That's not an accurate description of what was done according to the people who held the press conference or the other commission members. There's is no "we'll see." We already know the subject line is inaccurate.

6. When the proposals go up for a vote to the full commission, we will see.

7. We'll see that it still was not a leaked report no matter what happens.

We'll also see what the rest of the commission thinks. That doesn't change the facts that calling it a "leaked report" is not accurate. Something released on purpose is not a "leak." Something other commission members say they don't agree with is not the report of the full commission.
There is no "we'll see" about these facts unless you have trouble understanding what words mean.

9. Other commission members have said they won't.
So we don't have to wait and see. We know they released this precisely because they didn't have the full commission's support.

12. The day the President created this commission by executive order, he became the owner of anything...
that comes out of it. No worries, though. It will help with that whole mending his relationship with the bidness folks.
