you will see that he explains that he was fired because of this incident.

He was in a Catch 22. He couldn't drive off with the scuzzbag's arms in the vehicle because that could have caused any of a number of injuries, some possibly fatal. So instead, he had to sit there and be as polite and reasonable as even Job would have been under the circumstances, and suck it up only to ultimately get fired.
