Failure in a righteous cause
is better than selling out in order to gain a nominal success.

Had they pushed liberal policies in the last 2 years, they might have failed in the short run (i.e. not gotten their legislation passed), but the public would have been in no doubt about what they stood for and who was blocking them. That would have made all the difference in the midterms.

3. Same as
Tis far better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all....

A good fight lost is still a good fight, running away from an honest try is cowardice.

7. I have little doubt that a serious primary run against Obama
would not succeed, and would destroy he chance of winning.

The problem as I see it is that the Republicans are offering us a trip to hell on the expressway. Obama is offering up the same destination, but on some backroads that will take us a little longer to get there.

but a 1814 scenario... aka four Candidates for the Presidency... yes that is the worst case scenario

Why? People are tired of this shit, and Bloomberg is almost a given.

Before you say it I am not advocating for it, but the rumors are getting louder.

Now bone up on your history.

Let's just say IT WAS a mess... one of the THREE Presidential succession crisis in US History... you know of 2000... care to guess the third?

I hate it when fingers do that
