WTF - Bush was more open to the press
and communicated better with people than Obama.
Bush made fun of the press and never spoke to an audience that wasn't hand picked.

Steve Thomma on GEM$NBC is fugging crazy.

2. More Revisionist Bullshit
...and looks like it's not working. Boooshie's book is tanking and his spinsters can't make a rose out of this turd; even rushpublicans still look back on the idiot son and consider him a failure. There's a reason they waited until after the election to let this crap escape.

5. I would say Bush communicated "better" (and I use that word loosely)

with his base. So does Sarah Palin. They may have nothing of substance to say, or it may all be nonsense, but they at least have the good sense not to refer to their base as "retarded". They do not tell them to "buck up". They do not say one thing and do another (ie health care).

They may be fascists, true, but at least they are honest about it.

6. The chimp was quite eloquent last week on several talk shows
Hate to write anything good about the idiot, but he was articulate, plain spoken, and rather personable. He used simple words and short sentences. He chose his words carefully, but he knew what he wanted to say and he delivered his message very well. It was clear, of course, that he couldn't have written that book.

10. It Maybe True If You Consider ...

IMO, that Prez Obama's Press Secretary is dull and lack fluency in the way he sells the administration. Yes Shrub brought in a log of media spinners but they did their selling job with gusto and some believability such that they were able to sell lies and falsehood to the vast majority of the brain-dead. In addition, it seem that Obama himself does not feel comfortable in a press conference setting - he'll rather prefer campaign/town-hall setting where he connects more on emotion or a lecturing setting where he can be professorial and these do not lend the opportunity to sell the everyday things the WH has to sell to get people to support them.
Maybe it is because the administration is divided on what direction it wants to go - seeking bipartisanship (i.e. keep licking rethug a**) or being bold and call the shot when they have to and negotiate from strength as democrats standing on principles. Their message has been murky and unsure. They have been misfiring and therefore have been tentative about being accessible to the press. Shrub and his team were constantly pulling the righwing press for all kinds assistance and coordination in getting out their message. Obama's team have not made similar efforts and have noticeable lack of efforts towards working with progressive media outlets - the few there are in existence.

14. Bush spoke to his base
“This is an impressive crowd: the Have's and Have-more's. Some people call you the elites. I call you my base.”

He got all the press he wanted to fulfill his/their agenda and his handlers never gave him a tough interview except the ones he did in Ireland and Europe

but those were never shown in the US

Bush was on Fox all the time.
