1. the person on the phone
is probably being paid $8.00 an hour to do a certain job, and has nothing to
do with what the fatcat CEOs of BoA are doing.

Likely she also has no way at all to pass on to management what your concerns are,
unless you give her the time to take down a report.

It is likely the CEOs could care less and will continue their policies no matter
how people treat their customer service people.

5. if you believe that you've never worked telephone customer service
That $8.00 an hour employee has no way to pass on the message of the hostile customer.

Treating her like shit only makes her day worse than it is, in her crummy little $8 an hour
job with likely no benefits or insurance that costs half of her paycheck.

8. the let her get another job surveying for Gallup...
you all think you're going to effect change by being just so perfect while the other side rolls in the mud. Let her tell her fellow workers that she's fed up carrying water for BoA and anyone else WHO THROWS PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR HOMES WITH NOWHERE TO GO.

10. I worked telephone sales while I was in college
And contrary to what so many say, I was rarely hung up on or spoken to rudely. Most folks were actually very polite and even thanked me for calling them.

So I rarely believe these stories about what someone said to a solicitor on the phone. It certainly doesn't mirror my real life experiences.

14. It was a call from BoA
Where he went off on the caller. A fairly good rant (IMO) until at the end he told the caller she sounded nice (or cute, can't remember exactly) and asked what she was doing tonight. When called on for this comment, he deleted his OP.

2. Wow. You asked her what she was doing later?
That's sick. Sorry. You had me till I read that part.

4. You have an extremely broad range of 'sick'...
just ahving some fun with an unsolicited phone call from a hated creditor. Some people would call me sick for even talking to someone from BoA. Takes all kinds, I suppose.

6. And you have a strange idea of fun
Like the other poster said, being rude to a minimum wage employee who is just doing their job doesn't make you a hero. And to top it off with a sexist comment is gross.

"sexist"...sexpressing interest in someone of the opposite sex is now sexist...

and you know what...I just deleted the post - I'm wasting my time here... whilst the empire burns to the ground while everyone's here's just eating their own.

You just don't get how we did things to effect REAL change...you gotta do it the PC way...well, be my guest...how's it working out so far??

9. We get real change by making dumb comments to customer service employees?
Edited on Sat Nov-13-10 01:32 PM by proud2BlibKansan
Okay. You go on being rude to folks on the phone and let us know when that real change occurs. LOL

12. Yeah, lets all stand up for
the working stiff no matter what heinous job they may be performing for Big Brother and all their holding Companies...ya know, when I was draft age, we hassled the draft board employees but good...and slowly but surely, the anti-war movement as a whole did the same, until Nixon saw the wise politics in ending the draft...you would have complained that we were giving poor Alma Mc____ (and yes I remember her name, that creep) a hard time since she was probably only making 3.25 an hour or maybe less. But that was the only entree to the Board. After a while, in Bucks County, PA, they began to listen to us and started granting CO status where they never had before.

so don't you tell me how to fight...I've been there.

13. As I said in my first post
you had me until you made the dumb comment at the end. So your anger at me is misplaced.

At any rate, you wouldn't have deleted your post if you were really proud of everything you said.
