Sarah Palin's Unfavorability Numbers Hit New High, Survey Finds

The number of Americans viewing Sarah Palin unfavorably has hit the highest point since she burst onto the national stage over two years ago, according to a poll out Friday.

The Gallup survey conducted in the days after the Nov. 2 election found more than half of Americans -- 52 percent -- hold a negative opinion of the former Alaska governor. Only 40 percent viewed her favorably, which ties her lowest score from about a year ago.

Palin, the GOP's vice presidential candidate in 2008, is among Republican names being floated as a possible presidential pick in two years time. The poll found she might have a good chance of capturing the nomination: fully 80 percent of Republicans have a positive opinion of her.

She might have a harder time in the general election. Gallup found 81 percent of Democrats and 53 percent of independents viewed her unfavorably -- while fewer than four in 10 view her favorably.

2. I find it hard to believe

She has a good chance of capturing the nomination. Maybe, and I say maybe, 80% of republicans might have a positive opinion, but that doesn't mean they want her to be president! The way things are going right now I see a huge dived coming in the party, thanks to Palin, and an internal war against the mainstream republicans and the tea baggers! Palin jumped on the tea party band wagon because she saw that the mainstream republicans weren't going to help her with her "ambitions of power"! The woman is as phony as they come, but the majority of tea baggers are crazy, so she is able to con them into buying into her phony BS!

What I want to see is what kind of shape she is in after taking on Rove and his right wing smear machine. I think Palin has a whole lot of skeletons in her closet that maybe the really crazy side of the republicans party don't care about, but that most republicans "will" care about when Rove gets them all out in the open, and he will if she keeps ticking him off and tries to run for president!

Doesn't matter if Obama is really "all sizzle and no steak" and "unfit for command" and "lost without a teleprompter" like so many DU'ers are fond of saying now -- he is STILL a damn sight better than any Rethug you can name so I hope to HELL little Miss "I Can See Russia From My House" gets the nomination.
