America's problem is that "right" and "wrong" has always been much of a numbers game
Greed, hatred, intolerance, bigotry, discrimination, even outright violence against minorities have existed in America because the majorities have either turned a blind eye to these things or endorsed them.

If you look at any period of strife and despair in our history, the fight against injustices involved people banding together in a campaign to change the hearts and minds of the people.

The fight was taken to the streets to might things right and reject that which is wrong.

Wrongs are discarded, because they're eventually rejected as being the "norm". It has always taken time and dedication and an unyielding unity of like minded people, fighting for what's right, to discard those wrongs. It's a never ending fight as well. And never forget that the worst enemy of any movement is a loss of focus. It can happen to the best of us.

But, what should WE be focused on? Where do our real adversities lie? Everyone here already knows what the real problems are and who the real culprits are in this country current state of affairs... These are your answers:

What our job has always been on DU was to be a soundboard for the point of view that Democrats, no matter what subset of the party that we profess to attach ourselves to, will always stand for truth and justice against conservative injustice and malfeasance, as facilitated by the likes of Fox News and the Grand Oil Party.

In case you didn't already see the evidence, that numbers game that I referred to is currently being applied against US. As of late, right wing propaganda is being bandied about on DU as FACT, merely because it supports the differences that already exist in our Big Tent Party.

Rather than taking the fight to the streets against the Right Wing, the Right Wing is being allowed to drive wedges between us.

Frankly, we should be more careful about the intent of articles that seem to "support" what ever viewpoints that we may hold. Rather than allowing the right wing's messages to incite discord here, we should be the ones going out into streets and changing those hearts minds with OUR messages generated here.

Messages created in the bowels of Fox News and right wing movements and think tanks should never find a home here.

We're a lot smarter and more knowledgeable than that.

1. Why is this "America's problem"?
Is it exclusive to America? I think not. It's about as universal a problem as one could imagine.

I am referring to your title and the first 4 paragraphs. Obviously, the rest is America specific (Democrats vs. Repubs etc.) but the problem itself - is universal.
