Why WHY do we go to John McCain for direction? He LOST......
I can't believe how much air time he gets and all the soft ball questions he gets. I am sick of these Sunday talk shows. They always grill the Democrats and give the right a pass. Always.

1. And let's not forget that he lost to Bush before he lost to Obama.

2. I managed to read that as:
'Why do we go to McCain for directions? He got LOST!'

Which would also be true!

3. I completely quit watching all of them
and the nightly network news, as well. Finished forever.

4. I should too. It is so infuriating to hear the idiocy repeated
daily on the TV.

5. My wife just read me who is on this week.
Same old shit. McCain. Graham. Give me a break. I'm surprised Liebermann isn't on, too.

9. I have not listened to TV Sunday talk shows in years.
My NPR station has an interesting line-up on Sunday - some news - some indepth interviews with everything from authors to scientists - Splendid Table - Prairie Home Companion. Love it. I don't even turn on television on Sunday until evening, to view something I've recorded, or other special, some sports, PBS Mystery Theater, some C-span specials.

7. he lost more than just an election frankly.
he changed his ideas on so many things going so far as saying he never called himself a maverick.... he has lost any ounce of credibility he ever had as far as i am concerned. it's sad really. the things people do....

8. He never was a maverick anyway. He just went from being a Goldwater conservative
when that was the Arizona trend to being a Bush conservative when the population influx mandated it. He hasn't got a damn single orignal thought and never has.

10. We never really won. We do not have Democrats on the Hill
willing to take stands the way Republicans do.

John McCain takes some hits but gets right back
in the fight because he believes in something.

I am not saying he is correct. I am saying
he shows leadership and the ability to play
politics.

11. its easy for him to do that when the corporate world is on
your side. If you try to take a progressive side, you get marginalized or completely ignored or laughed at. It is not brave for him in this setting. It would be very brave for a dem and most likely suicidal.
