Shuler on Pelosi: If 'she doesn't step aside, I will challenge her'
http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/129057-shuler-on-pelosi-if-she-doesnt-step-aside-i-will-challenge-her

Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-S.C.) countered Pelosi would stay, saying she had led Democrats to the land "of milk and honey."

Blue Dog Rep. Heath Shuler (N.C.) said on Sunday that he will run for House Democratic Leader if Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) doesn't drop her bid for the top-ranking position.

Though he said he doesn't "have the numbers to win," Shuler told CNN's Joe Johns on "State of the Union" that his caucus deserves to have a moderate candidate to vote for when the caucus elects their leaders on Wednesday.

“If it comes down to this coming week, and she doesn’t step aside, then I will challenge her," Shuler said.

Even though half of Blue Dog caucus was decimated in the 2010 midterm elections, they think they can still get their way. They've been blaming Speaker Pelosi in the press loudly for the midterm losses, while ignoring their culpabilities that led them to their present situation. And they're plotting to continue undermining Nancy Pelosi as Minority Leader:

for your dogged determination to destroy the Democratic party from within.

:sarcasm:

(edited to note sarcasm, in case someone is insufficiently caffeinated and did not guess)

15. FACT: compromise is what government is all about and it starts with the entire spectrum of those who
claim to be Democrats.

If we Dems can't compromise among ourselves, then it's useless talking to Republicans or the smaller parties that represent segments of We the People?

One of the Blue Dogs is a personal friend of mine and he represents his constituents with honor and integrity.

My Party says:
For more than 200 years, Democrats have represented the interests of working families, fighting for equal opportunities and justice for all Americans.

Our party was founded on the conviction that wealth and privilege shouldn’t be an entitlement to rule and the belief that the values of hardworking families are the values that should guide us.

We didn’t become the most prosperous country in the world by rewarding greed and recklessness or by letting those with the most influence write their own rules. We got here by rewarding hard work and responsibility, by investing in people, and by growing our country from the bottom up.

Today Democrats are fighting to repair a decade of damage and grow an economy based on the values of Main Street, not greed and reckless speculation. Democrats are focused on rescuing our economy not just in the short run but also rebuilding our economy for the long run—an economy that lifts up not just some Americans, but all Americans.

I'll vote for Dem candidates because I Hope they will Change the direction our government is heading which is away from Democracy and hell-bent to Plutocracy.

His blue dog caucus was halved for a reason. No one likes faux Cons and we certainly don't like faux dems.
