The word 'permanent' is pissing me off!
Do they think we are stupid?

We know what that means! It means they are going to CAVE to the GOP and give the GOP a HUGE WIN right after they kicked our asses in the midterms.

So they look like leaders and we look like wimps!

Wow, does the White House think we are a bunch of suckers who will support them no matter what!

4. I don't think spam can talk.
Just think of him as an annoying pop-up window and move forward.

5. After voters didn't show up last time, the WH should've learned not to
"thnk we are a bunch of suckers who will support them no matter what" - maybe this prez doesn't want a second term and is just carrying out as much of his agenda as he can now.

7. It doesn't bother me as "permanent' is not necessarily constitutional.
Even the Constitution is not "permanent". It could theoretically be rendered invalid by a constitutional amendment or an Act of Congress that is validated by a majority vote of the Supreme Court (though unlikely the Court would invalidate itself or the Constitution).

Name one statute that has been reviewed by the Court that is "permanent" and can't be changed in the future.

17. yeah I noticed that too
..it lays the groundwork for caving. the White house habit of giving up everything first, then negotiate is the most infuriating thing. I can't figure out it's purpose how can it be that everyone but them can see how stupid a strategy it is?
