If it's only going to be one term than for F's sake go down swinging!

WTH is the matter with him.

1. He views himself as the Post Partisan President
which is ironic in a nation that is in a deep descent into a corruption fueled partisan miasma. Democratic leaders keep thinking that they are somehow 'above the fray'. It is a maddening cluelessness.

Compromise wins no respect. Standing on principles can.

ETA: Except, oh wait, it seems his principles aren't the ones I was hoping for. So, meh.

7. I said it a long time ago -
Going on two years ago I said if we are not out of Iraq by a year before the election - late 2011 - and if we don't get a public option in the HCR bill, he will be a one-term president.

Since it looks like we will still have tens of thousands in Iraq at the end of '11, and he threw away the PO, well...

I say he's a one term president.

9. This is (kind of) what I've been wondering.
He does not, in fact, have anything to lose, (and neither does the DNC) by pushing for equality, basic human rights, real reform of the entire system.

But his handlers would have to give him the okay first, and they won't. He has one mandate, and it is whatever will keep the powers that be from revoking support for Afghanistan. Everything else is secondary (including the Democrats' reputation.)

He is such an embarrassment.
