Gingrich says to pare down "big gov't" the Dept. of Energy should be eliminated
Edited on Sun Nov-14-10 07:39 PM by live love laugh
OK so I'm listening to so-called progressive radio on WCPT here in Chicago this evening and who's on but THE Alan Colmes who has a "progressive" radio show. The show usually comes on after 9CST thank God so I rarely hear him but somehow they have placed him in a prime Sunday evening spot and he's interviewing none other than Newt Gingrich spoon feeding Gingrich questions. (Can't get much more progressive than that Alan :sarcasm:).

Gingrich talked about what Obama needs to do. First Gingrich says the president should meet behind closed doors with Boner and "get to know him"(Boner is spelled exactly the way I want it spelled BTW.) Two thoughts come to mind: (1) after two years shouldn't they "know" one another and (2) they'd like them to meet behind closed doors because they don't want Obama's concilliatory efforts to be highlighted.

As for the Energy Department's elimination we all know that would represent open season for coal and oil barrons.

I thought that this was important to post because Colmes represents yet another facet of the "librul media" the fake liberal. I know the media's reach is massive but Colmes' infiltration represents a watering down of progressive media. I hope that this is not a trend.

ETA: Do you think Gingrich would show up on Thom Hartmann's show or other genuine progressive shows? I think not.

3. We need to pay attention to all of the absurdities coming from all
of the nutbags that will be vying for the repug nomination in 2012. It is going to be an epic catalog of idiocy.

6. This is why the Bush taxcuts are so important...
It permits them to pare down programs that are beneficial to common people. When Democrats go along with these taxcut extensions, they are following the Republican plot to destroy government at all levels. Too bad they are blind to that reality.

9. Translated: all energy legislation should originate from a Congress with a republican majority.
No competition, no problem.
