What will Congress concentrate on?
Edited on Sun Nov-14-10 07:52 PM by Kurt_and_Hunter
Here is what voters said they wanted this year. Oddly enough you almost cannot tell the parties apart (the columns):

What will Congress actually concentrate on? Or even pretend to concentrate on?

And why do politicians insist that the people care about the deficit so much? How do these bubble-contained politicians from both sides of the aisle (including the President) form their deep conviction that the American people are all about the deficit? The people don't really care except to the degree they think someone expects them to care to show themselves to be "responsible."

Self-styled middle-brow centrist loudmouths are all about the deficit. A cadre of neurotics on both sides of the aisle who believe that We the People must suffer for our sins are all about the deficit. Why does our political "mainstream" hear only those voices?

So, back to the original question...

What will our new Congress be concentrating on?

3. What will the lameduck Congress concentrate on?
Might be a better question?

At the present time, they are tied in knots over who is going to be the leader and who is not?

5. The republicans will concentrate on investigations and attempts to impeach the President
for anything they want. The Democrats Senate will then concentrate on getting him acquitted. The republicans will also pass a bill immediately to repeal the health care law. The republicans will filibuster to stop the START treaty. That's just the first 6 months.
