because there's not much else to laugh about when you're a progressive. If something remotely close to single payer would have been enacted, not only would I have been giddy knowing everyone would have health care, but I would also gain some pleasure from watching the conservatives tear their own faces off.
Trying to be a cheerleader for the team that always comes in last is getting old.
