Is KO too passionate in his reporting?
Sometimes I think he is going to stroke out. It's scary.

Does he need to turn it down a notch? For his own good?

:-)

31. Maybe you could give an example of Keith "acting" like a raving lunatic?
While I admit he has great passion, I do not find his comments to be from a lunatic...Maybe I need to be instructed on the difference between lunacy and passion..

on specific subjects! What do YOU want? Another Harry Reid???

the TV is filled with people who clearly don't give a shit about you. Keith is not one of those.

7. What about Ed Shultz?
That man is one session of Congress away from foaming at the mouth and convulsing on national television.

But he sure is fun to watch.

against MSNBC, and what never could be achieved regarding Fox, will happen.

MSNBC will be permanently labeled with the dreaded "L" word, and shows will start to disappear as the Comcast Weenies get "skeerd"..

Keith's will probably be the first to go, because of the obvious dislike of him by the big-brass, and he , of them.

He may be #!, but when he does not own the network, and relies on someone else to employ him, he IS vulnerable.

If he's told to overtly "tone it down:", he'll walk..they win.

Rachel's show would be next.. Lawrence is an old hand at politics & he knows just how close to that line is safe to tread.

Ratigan will probably be asked to stop vilifying the bankers & corporations, or else.. He will comply, and his show will probably stay on, since it's only an hour, and is not as highly rated.

Ed will be told to lay off the "unions are good" stuff... He's not a New Yorker, and would be just as happy doing his radio show from his fishing place, so he may end up walking..

The vanguard show of MSNBC is and will always be "Morning Joke"..

17. Sounds like a very real possibility...
Ketith will be the first to go. He will be a martyr to the almost-defunct progressive part of the Party.

Keith will probably be the first to go. You are probably correct.

15. Passion begets action...
Look at all the great events in society's history to prove it - behind almost every one was a person with a burning desire to make things right. I see so much of that in KO, and, yes, in Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow as well. But Keith, in particular, seems to care so deeply, IMO, and he's the perfect counter to "(un)fair and (un)balanced" Fixed News.

25. Passionate no, overzealous, yes.
He sometimes succumbs to the same kind of monochrome vision, lacking in nuance, that we slam when it comes from the right. He means well, but he sometimes needs to check his own zeal against reality.

29. Nope. Passion is what gets through to the people.........
in the 21st Century even moreso than fact and truth. The difference between Olbermann and Shultz and the RW spouters is that THEIR passion (KO and Ed) is fueled by FACT, while the RW is fueled by propaganda and lies.

As long as their passion is based in fact, they can be as passionate as THEY feel comfortable being.

BTW, that passion is the reason that they will be targeted by the RW. The RW can live with being on the wrong side of fact, but they can't live with lefties being factual AND passionate. It might actually make a difference with people.

30. In 1936, FDR railed...
"We had to struggle with the old enemies of peace: business and financial monopoly, speculation, reckless banking, class antagonism, sectionalism, war profiteering.

Never before in all our history have these forces been so united against one candidate as they stand today. They are unanimous in their hate for me – and I welcome their hatred!

Was he being too passionate?

many times in his talk show that he needs to watch his weight and blood pressure. He gets to pumped and emotional that I fear he'll bust a serious head vein.
