2. Well, you ARE crazy, we all know that, but as to the other part of your question,
I'd have to agree that I've noticed the gas prices have taken a leap.

But I'm sure it's Obama's fault, damn him! :7

:hi:

12. It's called quantitative easing, aka firing up the printing presses.
Oil is priced in dollars. Devalue the dollar, it takes more dollars to buy oil.

14. gop never paid a price for doubling or tripling cost of oil while electing all
oil and energy people into office in 2000. why couldn't dems point out how much these oil guys and their friends benefitted? How about just listing the names of all the oil and energy industry hacks who got into office or were appointed??

Now seems a good time to bring that back.

18. Maybe because IEA announced peak oil has been passed.
http://green.blogs.nytimes.com/2010/11/14/is-peak-oil-behind-us/?partner=rss&emc=rss

Peak oil is not just here — it’s behind us already.

That’s the conclusion of the International Energy Agency, the Paris-based organization that provides energy analysis to 28 industrialized nations. According to a projection in the agency’s latest annual report, released last week, production of conventional crude oil — the black liquid stuff that rigs pump out of the ground — probably topped out for good in 2006, at about 70 million barrels a day. Production from currently producing oil fields will drop sharply in coming decades, the report suggests.

20. They've been going up since Labor Day
All summer here it was around $2.69 for the cheapest stuff. Labor Day weekend it went up ten cents. A week later, up another ten. Been going up steadily ever since so now that $2.69 is around $3.20 (last I checked a couple of weeks ago... might be even higher now).
