Hi, Job Description: Location: Lowell Mass, MA Duration: 6 months Job Title: Linux Kernel Development Engineer (working on a wireless radio transmitter for an Army DARPA project) *The candidate will be working on low-level embedded Linux Kernel development on existing device drivers, which will involve kernel development and test, board boot-ups or "bring-ups" (using "U-boot"), file directories, memory sequencing, debugging and evaluating the timing of the memory (on the board) which is used to activate & download the code. The Linux runs on OMAP processor (Arm 9 processor), so the candidate should be familiar with OMAP. They will also be building file systems and directors off a disk and linking it to the memory o the board. * This position is targeted at board bring-up for 3 new development cards. This includes the following: - Board Bring-up experience ("U-boot" is desirable) - kernel development & test; Device driver porting, debugging, testing - Some diagnostic work - BSP (Board Support package) experience is a plus. * Since the work is being done on a wireless radio transmitter, anyone who has worked on projects similar to this at their previous jobs would be desirable.
