San Francisco, CA (AP) --
More than a dozen people have been arrested in clashes with police outside a meeting of University of California regents, who are set to vote on another tuition increase.
Campus police say 13 people were arrested Wednesday morning while trying to cross a police barricade at UC San Francisco; 10 of them are UC students. Police say one suspect faces a felony charge for allegedly striking an officer with a baton.
The heated protest drew about 300 people. At one point, officers used pepper spray on a group of about 15 demonstrators. ....(more)
