Bristol Palin apologizes for sister Willow's homophobic posts on Facebook, slams 'haters'

Bristol Palin is on a winning streak on "Dancing with the Stars," but working hard to keep from losing in the court of public opinion.

Palin, 20, apologized Wednesday for her sister Willow's behavior, amid reports that the Palins had used homophobic and profane slurs on Facebook this week to bash their mother's critics.

On Wednesday, amid furor over Willow's comments, Bristol took to her own Facebook page to offer an apology.

"Willow and I shouldn't have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize," she wrote. "On a nicer note, thank you for supporting the great competition in Dancing with the Stars!"

1) She only apologized for 'reacting'. (Total: 14 words)
2) There is NOTHING there apologizing for the obscene words and the slurs they used.
3) Tacky to add on a plug for 'Dancing with the Stars' (Total: 16 words) onto a paragraph that is supposed to be an apology post.

ignorant, backward white trash. and for that, i am grateful. i grew up around them ("the sticks") and i know them well. i escaped that destiny and went on to learn about civilization and culture. clearly, the palin family did not. i pity them. but i'm glad i'm not like them. i can spell, and read, and i know about history. how sad it must be, to not know of those things. i'm a black woman, and i'm very glad that i am not related to people like these. how tragic they are, and how much they represent the future of white america: it makes me weep. but then again, this is probably the "karma" of slavery, or something.
