1. Why do we let them have it?

Cut it off.

They either promote that 'sometimes' the government is needed, or they're on their own.

2. Bogus argument
Taxes are collected to fund federal benefits. If th tax is not optional then it is correct to accept the benefits even if one thinks the whole system shouldn't exist. (That is, if they believe there should be no tax and no benefit.)

3. No their share of the taxes can go to fund the military..
The other states that have no problem accepting Federal monies for infrastructure and education and health care should get the money need for those projects. Let the Republican states fund their own infrastructure and education and health care needs..They can feel safe knowing our military is killing women and children in Pakistan and Afghanistan in their name...We know those killings are making us safer and loved by all those that live in those countries..

4. As evidenced by the repubs I know. It's all about what they can get.
Even if they don't support something, if you're getting it, they want the same or more.

I've come to the conclusion that politics in general and DC politics specifically, is nothing but a huge pissing contest - whether it's Repubs, Dems, Teabaggers, etc.
